The new sports facilities are co-financed by the Águilas City Council and the FEDER funds, and will be located in the Buitrago Brothers parking lot. Yesterday took place in the Aquilian Consistory the signing of the reconsideration act for the beginning of the construction works of a Skatepark track in the town.
The Councilor for Sports, Cristóbal Casado, was in charge of creating his signature.
The next step will be taken this coming Monday with the start of work on the aforementioned sports infrastructure, whose execution period is estimated at two months and will be located in the Los Hermanos Buitrago car park.
The mayor of the area has expressed his satisfaction with the launch of this initiative that "will allow lovers of this discipline to enjoy the practice of sports such as skateboarding, aggressive skating, rollerblading, etc.".
The action, framed in the Integrated Sustainable Urban Development Strategy, "Sustainable Eagles",It is 80% co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the multiregional operational program of Spain 2014-2020.
