The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, has asked the Regional Government to launch a plan to help the Hospitality Sector after the announcement made this morning by the Ministry of Health of the closure of bars and restaurants from next Saturday before the advance of the coronavirus pandemic. The first mayor from Aguileña made these statements after the meeting with the Minister of Health, Manuel Villegas, in which the mayor of Citizen Security and spokesman for the Government Team, Tomás Consentino, was also present.
During the meeting, the Aquilian leaders have transferred to Villegas the concern of the Aquilian hoteliers who manifest "not understanding the implementation of unitary measures for the entire Region, taking into account that there are municipalities, as is the case of Aguilas, with very little incidence" .
In this sense, the counselor's response has been that "at times like the present, the solidarity of all is necessary to avoid a health collapse given the extreme situation in which the hospitals in the Region find themselves." The measures, announced a few moments ago by the Covid Committee of the Region, go through the closure of bars, restaurants and gambling halls, keeping exclusively the food service at home and picking up orders in the establishment. From the City Council the mayor has appealed once again to the responsibility of the aquilineans to whom she has said that "we cannot relax in the face of this virus because, although it is true that at this moment the municipality gives positive and encouraging data, the situation it can be reversed at any time.
