This morning the Mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the Vice-Speaker of the Government Team, Cristóbal Casado, met with David Guevara, from the Preventive Medicine Service of the Rafael Méndez Hospital, and with Regino Fernández, COVID Points coordinator, to analyze the elements necessary to condition the Adolfo Suárez Fairgrounds for its next use as a PCR testing center.
The meeting was also attended by different trades such as plumber, electrician, locksmith, etc., whose action is necessary for the launch of the aforementioned Center, which is scheduled for next February 1.
"The COVID Point, which is currently installed two afternoons a week in the Águilas Sur Health Center, is going to move to the Fairgrounds.
As the City Council we had proposed it to the Management for months, because we saw it as the ideal place both for the extraction and realization of these PCR tests, as well as for citizens.
We hope that in a few days it will be prepared so that PCRs can be carried out there for all citizens of the town of Águilas who need it ", commented the mayor .
The interior of the Enclosure will be compartmentalized to delimit the areas that have been determined from Area III, having a computerized admission area, another waiting area, two extraction points and a restricted space for health personnel.
The entire route will be duly signposted and will be disinfected according to sanitary protocols.
