Last Friday, March 12, the mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of Culture, Maido Simó, accompanied by other members of the municipal corporation, inaugurated the exhibition "Following my own steps", by the painter Manuel Coronado.
On the occasion of his 80th birthday, the artist from Aquileia wanted to retrace his own steps, making a retrospective of his style throughout his long career.
These are 35 newly created works and other paintings that, due to their importance, Coronado has wanted to include in this exhibition, which overflows the very room that bears his name, and also fills the corridor of the House of Culture with color.
In this retrospective exhibition the artist presents an itinerary about his life through paintings of marked color and unmistakable style.
For Coronado, painting is a vocation, an act of permanent creation and he demonstrates it, once again, by giving away works of great depth and creative freedom to anyone who visits the exhibition.
The exhibition can be visited in person from March 12 to 28 in the "Manuel Coronado" exhibition hall of the Francisco Rabal House of Culture, from Monday to Friday from 6:00 p.m.
to 9:00 p.m.
