Environmental Education Foundation (ADEAC), through the Association of Environmental and Consumer Education, granted this award for 24 years.

The Region of Murcia has this year with blue flags on 15 beaches and two marinas in the municipalities of Cartagena, Mazarrón and Aguilas, while San Pedro del Pinatar, San Javier and Los Alcazares, like last year, not requested.
