The mayor of Eagle, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructures, Francisco Barnabas, have signed this morning an agreement that will allow the construction of such defendant bridge over the Rambla de Las Culebras.
One that responds to one of the historical claims of citizens of Eagles and beginning to become reality last November when the first aquiline mayor managed the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura grant permission, up to three times denied infrastructure to previous municipal corporation for the construction of the wall prior to the construction of the viaduct containment.
This morning, and deed of said retaining wall already underway, it was taken a step further with the signing of the agreement by which the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia is committed to provide 250,000 euros (84%) of 297,583.62 euros estimated cost works, of which the local council will provide the remaining 16%.
After the ceremony the mayor also recalled "the work of all corporations that have passed by the City and who have worked for the signing of this agreement a reality today."
Moreno also defined the day today as an "important for the town of Aguilas in which responds to a historical demand of our town so they have struggled, especially the residents of Eagles day."
In the same vein the mayor has advanced to the construction of the bridge, whose tender will take over the City, will begin this year "at the same time the end of the construction of the retaining wall currently being performed ".
Meanwhile, the Minister expressed his satisfaction with an agreement that, in his words, "prevent an important part of this beautiful town remains incommunicado as a result of torrential rains."
