The press room of the Consistory aquiline welcomed yesterday the presentation of the program of events A sea of ​​letters from the Department of Education, Culture and Equality is designed to celebrate, on 23 April, the International Day of the Book.
The program, which this year reaches its fourth edition, presents as the main novelty is the extension of the acts a week in which will pay tribute to Antonio Prieto, a prominent aquiline writer of the Generation of 50, which highlighted the mayor of culture, Lucia Hernandez "Eagles had significant debt."
Thus, acts kick off on Monday with an exhibition on the figure of the master of letters that remain in the House of Culture until the 22th.
On Wednesday 20 he is provided an honorable day the writer and his work will begin with a miscellany of readings and include the act of appointment of Son of Eagles, after which the paper will be offered "Antonio Prieto returns to Ithaca" by Francisco José Montalban.
On Friday 22 will be held the awards ceremony of the school literary contest and screening of Don Quixote de Orson Welles organized by Cine Club and presented by Pedro Martinez Albentosa.
The work The altarpiece of the wonders in charge of the company Morfeo will be responsible for closing this edition of A sea of ​​letters on Saturday 23 April.
All these activities will be completed with the opening of a Second-Hand Book Fair which will be installed in the Plaza of Spain from April 23 to May 1 as well as the initiative released book;
an activity through which books are left in different parts of the town that can be picked up and read to then release them again.
