The region currently has 168 distinguished companies in the Integrated System of Quality Tourism in Destinations
Eagles seven companies have renewed their commitment today with Quality Tourism for what they have received the diploma of the Integrated Quality Tourism in Destinations (SICTED).
The Minister of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment Development, Juan Hernandez, encouraged companies during the ceremony of these certifications held in the municipality, to adhere to this quality system since "are they with their good work which they help the Region is, increasingly, a defendant and attractive destination ".
In this regard, Hernandez stressed the need to "improve among all the quality of our tourism destination competitiveness", and for this, recalled that have launched the Strategic Tourism Plan, "I agreed with the entire sector" looking maximizing the potential of tourism, make it one of the major sectors of development in the region.
The seven companies collected their diplomas today were: Capiola Travel, Heladería Venezia, Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel, Jewelry the Joyita, Marina Juan Montiel Restaurante La Veleta and Taxi Eagles.
In total, the municipality has 23 distinguished establishments and 24 more are in process to obtain this quality certificate.
In the region, there are currently 168 establishments.
The largest number, 48, corresponds to shops, followed by visitable museums and tourist attractions, and tourist guides 27, 18. In addition, SICTED destinations are Murcia, Lorca, Aguilas, Puerto Lumbreras, San Javier and Sierra Espuña.
Tourism Quality System
Integral System of Spanish Tourism Quality in Destination is a project to improve the quality of tourist destinations promoted by the Ministry of Tourism, with the support of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP).
Works with businesses and tourist services up to 32 different trades, with the aim of improving the experience and satisfaction of tourists.
The wide range of trades provides a comprehensive view of tourist destination quality, ranging from public services, such as tourist information offices or public safety, to shops, catering establishments and accommodation, among others.
The system is considered as the best tool to increase the competitiveness of tourism destinations.
Entrepreneurs who adhere to this method of quality throughout the process receive support and advice from the Institute of Tourism for the badge issued by the Ministry of Tourism.
