The mayor of the Environment, Isabel Maria Torrente, has come this morning to the fire station in the locality where they have installed a total of twelve nesting boxes for swifts.
The performance, integrated into a municipal program for the conservation of biodiversity, began in the IES Europe where students basic FP Agro-Gardening and Flower Compositions and Occupational Classroom built by hand these nest boxes, made in wood and with dimensions of 40x30cm and 20cm high, with an elongated opening 12x6cm.
This project, designed and funded entirely by the Department of Environment of the City of Eagles, "was very well highlighted Torrente- and welcome gifts from the own firehouse left the idea to join this initiative."
