More than eighty aquiline athletes belonging to the Eagles Handball Club, were received yesterday at the local council by the mayor, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of Sports, Christopher Casado.
Players, members of the five groups last April getting crowned regional champions, they handed over to the first mayor of a T-shirt club that Moreno did not hesitate to dress.
Both the mayor and the mayor of Sports wanted to congratulate all the members of the club, players, family coaching staff and not only by major victories, in the words of the first mayor, have made the aquiline teams "invincible" but also for sportsmanship demonstrated game after game.
"Developing healthy habits and demonstrate fair play and teamwork is certainly a cause for even greater than that of the significant achievements satisfaction. Thank you for taking the name of Eagles so far and do so with much sportsmanship" said the mayor.
Before concluding the meeting Moreno and Casado took the opportunity to wish the best of luck to the male cadet and child teams will soon play their national sectors and women's senior team this weekend fight in Almeria the stage of promotion to Division honor Plata.
