A total of eighty children of the Mediterranean school participated yesterday with their teachers in a reforestation day organized by the Department of Environment of the City of Eagles.
School visited the protector of animals and plants Aguiproan where, accompanied by the municipal veterinarian, Manuel Sansegundo, they toured the facilities.
Small were very interested in the many animals that are there welcomed, Sansegundo explained to the children the care they require animals and the importance of choosing adoption arise when living with a pet.
After the tour, we proceeded to the reforestation of a large area of ​​animal protection;
a space in which "will be very useful the shaded area these trees being planted will offer when they grow up," said the mayor of the Environment, Isabel Maria Torrente, who shared with teachers and students the day.
"Among the species that have been planted is pomegranate, hackberry, laurels, genistas, almond, carob and taráis, trees and shrubs, all of them perfectly adapted to the climate of Eagles characteristics" assured the mayor who took the opportunity to thank the Vivero Alhárabe the donation of two hundred saplings that will develop activities like yesterday with different schools in the locality.
