To mark the 30th anniversary of the Blue Flag, the Department of Environment organized last weekend a day of environmental awareness in which about sixty scouts of Severo Montalvo and Cultural Center Renfe groups.
The conference, which was attended by the mayors of Environment and Tourism, Isabel Maria Torrente and Gines Desiderio Navarro, respectively, began with a talk by the municipal technician, Sebastian Ramirez, on the problem of plastic waste on beaches and as they enter the food chain through plankton.
After this theoretical part the scouts conducted a cleanup day microresiduos that due to their small size, can not be eliminated mechanically and delivered between bathers beach ashtrays and brochures on the distinctive Blue Flag.
