The mayor of Tourism of the City of Eagle, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, praised as "very positive" data released by the Tourist Office of the town concerning visits recorded last June, reflecting an increase of 18.72 % over the same month last year.

"According to the comparative statistics this year the Tourist Office has served a total of 1,875 visitors representing a significant increase compared to the 1,578 who attended last year 2015".

Navarro stressed that the promotional activities being carried out, attendance at fairs and attractions of our town themselves are able to consolidate our town as a tourist destination;

something that- assured the councilman is one "work objectives of the council".

With regard to the origin of visitors, UK remains the country that tourism generates in Aguilas (351 visitors), followed by France (132 visitors) and Germany (58 visitors).

As for domestic tourism visitors come mostly from Madrid (208 visitors), Barcelona (63 visitors) and Almeria (58 visitors).
