The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Thomas Violante, and the mayor of Eagle, Maria Carmen Moreno, visited Friday the training room the Down Syndrome Foundation of the Region of Murcia (Fundown) has in the locality.
In these facilities, located in the El Placetón building donated by the City Council, currently 10 young people with intellectual disabilities are formed with the aim of increasing their autonomy as a way to facilitate their integration.
The visit also participated Diego González and Pedro Martinez, president and chief Fundown respectively, and family users.
Eagles Fundown offers different levels of training for people with intellectual disabilities, ranging from an initial approach to perform basic tasks autonomously, to the concrete preparation in three professions: kitchen, manipulated and offices.
In addition, the Foundation has collaboration agreements with companies and institutions in the area that facilitate practical work of students and subsequent definitive incorporation into the labor market.
