One more year, the fishing enthusiasts gathered the first weekend of August in columbines shores to participate in the XXXI Fishing Contest Villa of Eagles, organized by the association of the same name.
A total of 46 couples from Andalusia, Murcia and Valencia, covered the space between Torre de Cope and Sisco on a day that ended with the proclamation of Juan Canovas and Samuel González as champions;
couple who also managed to take the largest number of pieces, 71 in total.
The runners were Isidro Miguel Hernandez and Francisco Martinez of the Villa of Eagles association.
While the third place went to Nicolas Antonio Cortes and Juan Acosta, from the Puerto de Mazarrón.
During the awards ceremony, which was conducted by the mayor, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of Finance, Thomas Cosentino, also received a trophy the couple formed by Antonio Morales and Antonio Morales Sanchez to capture the larger piece (664 grams).
