Lots of emotion, outstanding acts of camaraderie among musicians rival gangs and, above all, good music, were experienced last Saturday in the Auditorium and Congress Palace Infanta Doña Elena Eagles, during the celebration of the V Regional Contest of Bands in which he participated as house band, out of competition, the Musical Patronage aquiline.
The jury, composed by Antonio Ginés Abellán Alcaraz, who was director of the Conservatory of Music of Murcia, Antonio Jaime Garcia Mengual, a professor of that conservatory and international concert pianist, and Isabel Maria Rubio Molina, director of the Banda de Lalin Pontevedra, had really difficult to choose the winning band.
He finally won the first prize of 1,500 euros, the Musical Association of Abarán, being secondly the musical group from White, with a prize of 900 euros, and in third place the Musician-Cultural Band of San Javier, which he received 500 euros.
The mayor of Culture, Lucia Hernandez, was responsible for sprucing pins of the participating bands, with a new tape.
He also gave a reminder of the City of Eagle directors and the presidents of the musical groups that performed.
For his part, the president of the Federation of Bands of Murcia, Ginesa Zamora, presented a plaque in appreciation for their cooperation both the City of Eagle, as the Columbine Musical Patronage, collecting this distinction the mayor Tomas Cosentino and President of the Board, Juan Perez.
The event closed with the interpretation by the Titular Band aquiline Musical Board, under the direction of Juan Rojo, the Hymn of the Federation of Bands of Murcia and the emotional hymn "Eagles Mediterranean paradise" sung by Juan José Berenguer.
