The work, the artist explained that the President of the Residence commissioned a small sculpture of the saint, but suo moto considered that the yard deserved more remarkable, so he decided to bear all expenses and donate their creation, where he has worked for four months, resulting in a large sculpture, life-size, of San Francisco surrounded by animals.
The setting could not be more appropriate, since the work incorporates a source in the drinking birds, deer and even a wolf, which blend into the lush vegetation of the residential courtyard.
The involvement of the artist with this work has gone beyond the sculpture itself, since the old Hospital, now Residence and Day Centre, joined by personal ties, such as being born there.
The church service focused on the figure of San Francisco, highlighting the poorest dedication, humility and faith.
After the homily, the residence invited to lunch to visitors and residents, who these days are celebrating the Week Mayor.
The inaugural festivities began on Sunday with the IV Charity Gala for the Residence San Francisco Eagles, held in the Auditorium Infanta Elena.
