The celebration of World Mental Health Day on October 10 is an initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH, its acronym in English) held in more than 100 countries.
To AFEMAC (Association of relatives of mentally ill in Aguilas and region) organizes a program of events to involve the citizens of their work, making visible the situation of people with mental health problems and their families and take the opportunity to claim publicly the rights of this group.
The theme this year is "I'm like you but you still do not know" and the Club Nautico de Aguilas has agreed to collaborate with his team of monitors Sailing School in spreading through its activities this message, stressing that are many more things that all people have in common that differentiate us and the importance of knowing ourselves in the place of others to understand each other better.
The day on Sunday, October 9, associates and staff AFEMAC registered for free and on board sailing boats and kayak paddling to the bay of El Hornillo and return to the marina.
