The Embarcadero del Hornillo since its construction in the early twentieth century has been associated with economic and cultural history of Eagles.
The creation of this Mineral Pier was due to the entrepreneurship of Mr. Gustavo Gillman to enhance railway Eagles-Lorca-Baza with the exploitation of existing mines in the Sierra de Bacares.
The Embarcadero is called the bay that hosts, The Stove and is considered the second largest in Spain.
Given its importance and value it was declared of Cultural Interest with monument category by Decree 316/2009.
Currently the state has is worrying, so the Municipal People asked the House to urgently urge the Government of Spain to carry out the measures for their conservation and rehabilitation to value this good of great cultural appeal and tourism in the municipality.
