The mayor of Eagle has been the place chosen to sign the purchase by the company Looije Eagles SL of a municipal plot of 20,000 square meters.
Before the notary Manuela Isabel Marzal Musso, and the secretary of the City of Eagle, Diego José Mateos, have initialed the document the mayor, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the manager of the agricultural company in the town, Juan Jose Lopez.
He has also been present at the signing Looije Jos, owner of this Dutch family business founded in 1946.
His specialization in tomatoes began in the seventies of the last century.
In 1998 a farm was opened in Spain in order to maintain the supply of cherry tomatoes, self-produced, all año.Esta extensive experience as agrifood producer was transferred to Looije Eagles.
Thus, the new holding born heir to a company policy aware of their responsibility to respect safety, hygiene and wholesomeness of food products.
On September 1, 2010 Looije Eagles promoted the establishment of a OPFH.
This design change was an important development: a single firm, Looije OPFH, marketed under the same brand, Sarita, cherry tomato harvest of eight producers in the areas of Aguilas, Mazarrón and Almeria, thereby doubling its production.
The growth of this company is continued, so they moved infrastructures that are currently in Los Arejos to the newly acquired land, in order to expand both facilities and production, and consequently also the jobs.
The mayor said that is a very positive development and thanked the company to continue betting on Eagles for expansion.
