Yesterday, the second edition of the National Competition of Short Films My Life in Your Hands was presented at the Ayuntamiento de Águilas, where the mayor of Sanidad, Rosalía Casado, stood out this year "after the success of the last edition and the interest Created around the contest, has significantly expanded the economic value of the awards.
There will be a total of 9,500 euros to be distributed among the three categories which, also as a novelty, this year presents the contest.
In addition, and unlike last year, the competition theme will not be limited to cardiopulmonary resuscitation but any social or health action that, at a given moment, can help save one or more lives.
The project Mi vida en tus manos, launched last year by the Ayuntamiento de Águilas, Grupo Alpa and Ambulancias Lorca, "was born with the intention of being a transmission mail between the cinema and the scientific and sanitary environment", recalled the manager of the Group Alpa, Fernando Pérez, who announced that the event, as it happened last year, will be accompanied by a training session in which regional specialists in health will meet.
Salvador Serrano, vice-president of the Organizing Committee and president of the Actors Union of the Region of Murcia, announced that this year "Benito Rabal has joined this project, which will have a Important role in the Express Film Course and Express Short Film Competition to be held next June, specifically the weekend before the grand gala Mi Vida en tus manos. "
Finally, the mayor of Culture, Lucía Hernández, was very pleased that Águilas was once again the chosen place for the realization of this national competition.
"Culture is not at odds with any other field and this contest is a sample of it," concluded Hernandez.
The contest is also completed with a contest to determine the poster announcer, endowed with a prize of 500 euros and whose registration period ends on 8 January.

The categories of participation are professional, amateur and short film produced by an Educational Center.
Professional Short Film Category:
1st Prize, endowed with € 4,000 and Trophy.
2nd Prize, endowed with € 2,000 and Trophy.
3rd Prize, endowed with 1.000 € and Trophy.
Category Short Film Amateur:
1st Prize, endowed with 1.000 € and Trophy.
Category Short film produced from an educational institution:
1st Prize: Trophy and € 500 in educational materials.
Award for Best Performance (awarded by the Milana Bonita Association):
1st Prize: endowed with 500 €, 2 nights hotel in Eagles for 2 people and Trophy.
