Last Friday, coinciding with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Casa de la Cultura Francisco Rabal hosted the presentation of the collective work Pintando las palabras, developed by the Association of Independent Women of Eagles (AMIA) under The direction of illustrator and graphic designer Cristina Hernández.
The event, which included the mayor of Equality, Isabel Torrente, and the president of Amia, Encarnación Navarro, concluded with a diploma delivery for all participants.
During the meeting, the mayor of Equality stressed "the importance of the whole society actively involved in condemnation, rejection and repulsion towards a social scourge that must be treated as a matter of state."
After the presentation of this work were the members of another female group of the locality, in this case the Association of Housewives, Consumers and Users, together with a large group of citizens who wanted to join this project those who put on the scene Society Phoenix;
A theatrical performance in which, under the motto "my skin is your skin", a call was made to change a world in which discrimination based on gender is still very present.
