The colony Aquila Las Lomas has celebrated today its traditional chestnut.
A celebration that has been taking place since the center began its journey and in which, year after year, the entire educational community participates.
Throughout the day the grandmothers of the schoolchildren, disguised as Chestnuts, have distributed among children this characteristic fruit of autumn.
In addition, as usual, the party has been thematized around the theme on which the center is working this year, specifically Eagles and its history;
Which is why the court of the school has received the visit of the Count Floridablanca himself who has been talking with all the children as well as the mayor of the town, Mari Carmen Moreno, who together with the mayor of Education, Vicente Ruiz, has been Added to this celebration.
Also noteworthy is the fact that in parallel to the chestnut tree has taken advantage of the setting of the center to develop in children a value as important as solidarity.
Thus, the "pava de la balsa", which since the beginning of the course occupies the Las Lomas school hall, has been instituted as the point of deposit of solidary corks that the center will donate to Hugo Mecca, the aquiline child suffering from spina bifida.
