The Cultural Association of Sport Fishing "Villa de Águilas" celebrated last Sunday in a well-known restaurant of the locality, the awards ceremony of its "Social Championship 2016 Sport Fishing Association Villa de Aguilas".
The trophy to the Fisherman of the Year was for Alfonso Sánchez Soler.
José Luis Ruiz Parra was proclaimed champion of this edition and also of the prize to the "Greater Weight", with 33,108 Kgs and "Greater Number of Pieces" with a total of 657. Ruiz also was awarded by its association for being representative in the Championship of Spain of the boat Fondeada "Duos" with Lorenzo Pérez García and for his second position in the Spanish Championship "Mar Costa" Roqueo mode along with his teammates Francisco Isidoro Martínez García, Javier Robles Zapata and Alberto Ruiz Parra.
Second place went to Francisco Garcia Vera, while Francisco Isidoro Martínez García was third in this annual sport fishing league.
The prize for the "Major Piece" was obtained by Luis Martínez Hernández, with a specimen of the fish known as "denteon", weighing 2,226 kg.
The young people of the association also had their moment, in which the participation of its younger members in the Third Open Children's Championship was remembered.
Also, during the dinner-gala, it was also given to the collaborators of this veteran fishing association and the participants of this championship.
