The Cultural Association of Sport Fishing "City of Urci" celebrated last Saturday, in a well-known restaurant of the town, the awards ceremony of its "XXIII Social Championship".
José María Paredes Robles, "Morito", was proclaimed champion in senior category of this edition and also of the prize to the "Greater Number of Pieces", with 445 catches.
Likewise, his son José María Paredes Martínez was entertained by the host association for being proclaimed Champion of Spain by equipment in the category "subcasting" of sport fishing, as well as his tenth position obtained in the last Championship of Spain celebrated in Castellón.
Alfonso Diaz got the runner-up while Antonio Guindo was the third position in this sport fishing championship where the regularity of a whole year.
Guindo also did with the "Prize to the greater piece", thanks to a mullet of 1, 194 Kgs.
Also during the dinner-gala was also presented to the patrons and collaborators of this veteran fishing association.
The deputy mayor of Aguilas City Council, Tomás Consentino, and the commander of the Guardia Civil in Aguilas, Joaquín Guillamón, were in charge of delivering the awards, along with the president of the association, Cristóbal López, and members of his Board of Directors.
