The association of Housewives, Consumers and Users Virgen de los Dolores, in collaboration with the City of Eagles, held yesterday its traditional contest of Nativity Scene;
An event that this year reached its 19th edition and, said the president of the association, Catalina Garcia, "has recorded a significant increase in the number of participants."
A fact to which the mayor of Aguilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, claimed to feel very happy.
"The tradition in our locality has always been very important and that is why it is fundamental actions like this contest organized by the association of housewives to help recover it."
The evening began with the performance of the choir of the association, in charge of softening the evening with a selection of popular carols and giving way to the ceremony of trophies.
In the category of Belenes of educational centers, the Ciudad del Mar school won the trophy to the most artisan Belén;
San Juan de las Águilas won the most original Bethlehem prize;
While the Carlos V won the title to the more traditional Bethlehem.
Within the category of familiar Belenes, the winners were: Salvador Sánchez (Belén Tradicional), María García (original Belén) and Hilario Gris (Belén artesanal).
In the section of Nativity of exhibition was Francisco Miras the great winner.
The special trophy for the best Bethlehem came to the hands of the Mary Immaculate College for its living Bethlehem.
