The mayor of Aguilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the director of concessions of Hidrogea, Javier Ybarra, presented this morning the Social Bonus of Water, an initiative established by agreement between the Consistory aquiline and the water distribution company, which aims to To help families in a situation of economic precariousness to face the payment of water supply and sewerage.
This Social Bonus has an endowment for the year 2017, of 60,000 euros.
After the act of signing, the mayor of guilas has commented that it will be the Social Services of the City that will manage the requests for help, contrasting and valuing the information of the applicants and approving, if appropriate, according to the established criteria, the aid For the payment of water and sewer bills.
Once the request is resolved, Social Services will send to Hidrogea the list of approved applications so that the resolution can be executed.
The first aquiline mayor has ensured that both the City Council and Hidrogea are aware of the situation of economic precariousness suffered by some families in the town and has been very satisfied "by signing an agreement that will help many families experiencing difficult times" .
This aid will be available to citizens in situations of economic precariousness residing in Aguilas with an individual contract to supply water with Hidrogea.
The aid will only be applicable in contracts in which the service is provided in the dwelling that constitutes the habitual residence.
