The councils of Finance and Citizen Participation will develop, from next week, a series of informative assemblies to present to the neighbors the Program of Areas of Rehabilitation and Urban Regeneration (ARRU).
The program, launched by the Ministry of Development and Infrastructures, aims to improve public spaces and the exterior rehabilitation of homes.
In this sense, the Councilor for Citizen Participation, Luis López, stressed that "the aid, which are managed by the council, must be requested by the City as long as there is a large number of neighbors interested in availing themselves of them. That we have decided to develop these assemblies to explain to the neighbors of the zones delimited for the action (approximately 25% of the municipality) in which this program consists and the benefits of participating in it ".
The ARRUS can receive all the houses included in the area delimited for the performance, both single-family homes and buildings as long as, in the latter case, all owners participate.
At the individual level, all the houses assigned to the program will benefit from a subsidy of approximately 50% of the cost of rehabilitation works.
Likewise, in the area in which the action is taken, a plan for improvements and space recovery will be applied, subsidized with up to 2,000 euros per dwelling included in the ARRU.
The assemblies will be held on March 6, 7, 13 and 14 at 8 pm at the Francisco Rabal Culture House and the neighbors of the areas potentially benefiting from this program will be convened.
