The Minister of Family and Equality of Opportunities, Violante Tomás, together with the mayor of Águilas, María del Carmen Moreno, visited today in this municipality one of the 85 users who will benefit from the new service of Home Help for people in Situation of dependency.
The councilor and the first mayor recently signed an agreement for the maintenance of this service, which has a budget of 240,863 euros for 2017 that will go to the set of actions carried out at the home of people in a situation of dependency to meet the needs of Your daily life.
They can be services related to household or household needs, such as cleaning, washing and cooking, as well as personal care and activities of daily living.
The service provides professional care to dependents in their homes, as well as ongoing monitoring by municipal social services.
Águilas has been the first municipality to join this year to the proposal of the Ministry to establish a framework of collaboration that the Ministry plans to implement throughout the Region with the objective that dependent persons can be cared for in your locality and in your Address in the best conditions.
In order to fulfill the objectives of the System for Autonomy and Care for Dependency, the Law provides, in its article 15, a catalog of services, among which is the Home Assistance provided by communities to promote personal autonomy And meet the needs of people with difficulties to perform basic activities of daily living.
