The mayor of Aguilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the edil of Education, Vicente Ruiz, accompanied yesterday the director general of Educational Centers, Maria Dolores Valcárcel, during a visit to the schools of the Mediterranean and Virgen de los Dolores;
Two centers that, Moreno said, "present significant deficiencies due to their antiquity."
In this sense, the first aquiline mayor stressed that last November, in a visit to the Ministry of Education, "we transferred to the director general the need for investment to improve some centers in the locality, as well as the invitation to The director herself visited in Aguilas these two specific centers since this was a request we were made from the management teams of both centers.
After the visit of Valcárcel, the next step will be the completion of a report by the technicians of the Ministry and the City Council itself to assess the actions that should be carried out as a priority.
It should be noted that although the City Council has developed improvement actions in these schools is the General Directorate that must assume the largest works of schools in the Region.
