The group of teachers, students, parents of students, the representatives of the AMPA, the FLAMPA, together with the director of the center and the Councilor of Education of Eagles, locked in the hall of teachers in protest, said:
Our most emphatic rejection of the draft of the Order of the Ministry of Education of the Region of Murcia that regulates educational concerts with private centers.
We believe that the reasons for paralyzing the approval of this Order not only open the CONCERTATION to Non-compulsory Education (Bachillerato and FP) but also extend it from four to six years, imposing it alone and without any debate with the Educational Community .
The right of the family to choose the education of their sons and daughters should not be an excuse for the support through public funds of private schools.
What should prevail is the right to universal education, compulsory and free.
The Public Education is undergoing a progressive dismantling with the continued suppression of units and lines, dismissal of teachers and lack of resources in the centers;
While the concerted network increasingly has more privileges.
The Public Education already guarantees the educational offer in the Region so that these concerts are absolutely unnecessary and they obey clearly to interests different from the educative ones.
Contrary to concerted education, public education favors social integration, promoting equality of opportunity and equity of our students and that must be above all else.
I, the undersigned, declare our strongest support for Public Education, betting on quality, inclusive, compensatory and plural education:
Teachers, students, fathers and mothers of students, representatives of AMPA, FLAMPA, director of IES King Carlos III (Antonio Moreno) and Councilor of Education of Eagles (D. Vicente Ruiz).
