One of the objectives of the Aguilas City Council is to make it easier for bicycle users to use it, which is why, among other measures, since last year has doubled the number of parking in the locality.
The idea - said the mayor of Sports of the City of Eagles, Cristbal Casado - is to enable spaces to be able to park correctly the bikes in those places that usually use the users of these two-wheeled vehicles.
Thus, last year were installed parking modules in the squares Gutierrez Mellado and Victims of Terrorism;
In the Tourist Office and the Municipal Library and also all of the Plaza de Espaa.
"We are currently working to provide these parking systems with all the educational centers in the town since we know that there are many children and young people who usually go to schools and institutes by bicycle," said Casado.
"Along with these parking lots and also a relationship with the bicycle, the Government Team, fulfilling one of its electoral commitments, continues to work on the creation of a bike lane that circumvents the whole municipality," recalled the area councilor.
