The general director of Ports emphasizes that the new incentives of the reform of the Law of Ports impel the creation of nautical activities and of fairs
The marina Juan Montiel, in Aguilas, regains its nautical fair with the celebration of the V edition of the 8 to 11 of June.
Salvador García-Ayllón, general director of Transport, Coast and Ports, presented the activities together with the mayor of Aguilas, María del Carmen Moreno, and the general director of the port, Juan Francisco Montiel.
The nautical fair will be held in the marina and will be attended by around 50 exhibitors with boats, nautical equipment, motors, jet skis, sails, nautical sports equipment, equipment, as well as vehicles for holiday leisure like caravans.
Among the novelties of this edition is the marketing of port moorings, which has a total of 356 moorings.
The director general stressed that "the new incentives contemplated by the reform of the Law of Ports allow the holding of events such as this fair, which will encourage many people in the region and neighboring provinces like Almeria, interested in activities related to the sea, Can approach Águilas during the weekend, which also coincides with the holiday of the Day of the Region.
Activities include activities for children such as diving baptism and kayaking and sailing, as well as activities for adults such as talks and presentations related to the nautical world.
During the four days of the fair is expected to exceed 4,000 visits.
Salvador García-Ayllón opted for the celebration of activities in the marinas and the organization of these type of fairs "that impel the nautical tourism, dynamize the marinas and promote the deseasonalization of the tourism".
He also recalled that "the reform of the Ports Act contemplates incentives of up to 35 percent discount in the club fee for the celebration of sports and tourism activities, such as this Nautical Fair, in order to encourage in ports Sporting the organization of activities throughout the year ".
The Marinas of the Region celebrate more than 300 nautical activities every year, in which more than 17,000 people participate.
Nautical tourism annually attracts 200,000 visitors to the Region.
