The Romero Rociera 2017 brings together more than two thousand pilgrims under the protection of the White Dove. A total of twenty carriolas, ten horse carriages and more than fifty horses traveled the way to the Mill of the Saltaor (29/04/2017)

This weekend is celebrated in Aguilas the XXIX Romería Rociera Hermandad de Nuestra Señora del Rocío de Águilas, where more than two thousand pilgrims from the Brotherhoods of Eagles, Lorca, Archena and Garrucha have gathered.

Although the sky threatened rain, meteorology finally respected the path of the "Sinpecado" that after a mass of pilgrims in the parish of San José departed accompanied by the festive atmosphere, typical of this celebration, to the place of the Mill of the Saltaor.

A total of twenty strollers, ten horse-drawn carriages and more than fifty equines have traveled the way by taking a first stop at the Town Hall gate where Blanca Paloma has been greeted with a shower of flower petals.

The wagon of the Virgen del Rocío, accompanied, among others, by the mayor of Aguilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the older brother of the Aguileña Hermandad, Fernando Gallego, continues his way to the Civil Guard barracks, at which point A floral offering and the Angelus prayer were made.

The pilgrims, after a stop at noon for the brotherhood meal, will reach their particular village of El Rocío at six o'clock in the afternoon.

Towards midnight the procession of torches and the prayer of the Holy Rosary will take place around the candela, offering the Brotherhood later a chocolatada.

The day of Sunday will dawn with the mass of dawn that will give way to a whole day of dancing, singing and authentic brotherhood.
