The mayor of Aguilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, met yesterday with the rector of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, Alejandro Diaz, and the Vice-rector of Innovation and Enterprise, Alejandro Pérez, in the mayoralty of the City of Eagles.
The meeting, which was valued by the mayor of "very positive", was developed with the objective of establishing strategies to bring the UPCT closer to the municipality of Águilas.
In this sense Moreno highlighted, among the issues addressed at this meeting, "the commitment to collaboration between the City Council and the Tourism Observatory of the UPCT in the elaboration of a Strategic Tourism Plan. Studying the possibility of developing a collaborative project to promote, through the different faculties of the University of Cartagena, the Nursery of Companies of the locality.
Finally, both the first mayor and the rector and vice-rector confirmed the presence of the UPCT in the next edition of Young October as well as a round of contacts with the directors of the various institutes in the town.
