Poniente Beach has hosted this morning the selection tests of the Aquatic Rescuers that this summer will watch the beaches of Eagles as effective of the Beach Coverage Plan (COPLA).
About 60 applicants have gathered at the Spanish Red Cross facility in the city to participate in demanding screening tests, as they have had to pass a theoretical examination, a practical Pulmonary Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Oxygen therapy, and finally, A combined effort and rescue in the aquatic environment.
This last one, thanks to the wind of 20 knots that prevailed in the coast aquiline, has forced the candidates to make the maximum effort to be able to obtain some times that allow them to be part of CRE's staff in Eagles the next months.
The different tests have had special witnesses, since the councilors of the Government Team, Vicente Ruiz and Cristóbal Casado, who have been accompanied by the Local Committee Chairman, Miguel Molina Sánchez, their Director of Relief and Emergency and Health, Miguel Angel Molina and José Rondán respectively and the Autonomous Relief Coordinator, Miguel Navarrete.
Although the high season of the Copla Plan, which is in force throughout the year, begins on June 1, the City of Eagles and Spanish Red Cross have held talks to study the possibility of strengthening health care during weekends and holidays with Medical equipment that offer a quick and effective response to both the aquiline and the thousands of visitors who come to the municipality in the summer season.
