The mayor of the Environment, Isabel María Torrente, has announced the activities that have been scheduled from the Council to celebrate the World Environment Day tomorrow, June 5.
Torrente stressed that the main novelty of the program "is that this year will develop actions during two days with the goal of involving more people."
The activities, which are aimed at both children and adults, will start tomorrow with a repopulation of trees in the yard of the school Joaquín Tendero at 9 am under the motto "One class, one tree";
Later, from 10 to 12 hours, users of the Center for Women and Afemac will participate in a workshop of nengo dango (seed bombs);
While at 11.30 there will be a day of open doors in the Occupational Center Urci where all the works that the users of the center have done in collaboration with the Department of the Environment will be exhibited.
The activities will continue on Wednesday 7th with a day of cleaning beaches in the area of ​​Marina de Cope in which volunteers from Hidrogea.
