The Ministry concluded the emergency works on a dozen roads affected by the rainy season
The Ministry of Presidency and Development invested 229,000 euros in the recovery of the road RM-D13, which connects El Ermita de El Garrobillo with Cuesta de Gos, Los Mayorales de guilas and the Lorca-guilas motorway (RM-11).
The works consisted in the construction of the walls of support of the road with masonry.
Jos Antonio Fernndez Llad, general director of the Highways, and the mayor of guilas, Mara del Carmen Moreno, visited today the emergency work at kilometer eight and nine already completed, which also had to replace the firm that was left In bad condition after the rain storm last winter.
Fernndez Llad recalled that last year, his Department remodeled the 14 kilometers of this road with the aim of improving mobility and reinforcing its security, with an investment of 675,000 euros, and stressed the importance of this route, which has an annual intensity of 730,000 vehicles, with 2,000 daily drivers, and which connects the Lorca-guilas motorway and the Cuesta de Gos mining ground, crossing the aforementioned natural space.
It must be considered that this is an area of great agricultural and livestock activity and that the road is an important means of communication with the municipality.
Therefore, the main beneficiaries of these works are the residents of guilas and Lorca, farmers and owners of horticultural stores and farms in the vicinity of the road.
Completed the twelve emergency works
Jos Antonio Fernndez Llad reported that, with the start of the RM-D13 road, the Ministry of Presidency and Development concludes the twelve emergency works on eleven regional highways that were damaged by last winter's rains, Have allocated 1.5 million euros.
Specifically, the Ministry of Presidency and Development has completed the RM-F20 road works (which links Avileses with the Mar Menor motorway RM-19);
RM-515 (Alhama de Murcia-Mula);
RM-512 (Cieza-Abarn);
RM-F56 (Cabezo de la Plata-Sucina);
RM-F51 (Torre Pacheco-Pozo Estrecho);
RM-C7 (Totana-Ermita de las Huertas);
RM-D11 (Puerto Lumbreras-Lorca);
RM-D3 (N-340 to RM-D1, in Lorca);
RM-C26 (Reference to C1 -C2);
And RM-523, which connects Ulea with the A-30 dual carriageway (Albacete-Murcia-Cartagena).
