The mayor of Aguilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the edil of Education, Vicente Ruiz, visited yesterday the nearly 70 children and young people who from yesterday and until next Sunday are participating in the camp organized by the Regional Federation of Associations of Diabetics ( Fremud).
The camp is aimed at children and young people with diabetes from the Region of Murcia, Valencia and Andalusia.
The main purpose of this activity is for children with diabetes to learn to be more autonomous and to accept their chronic illness better, although children who do not have diabetes and want to learn how to improve their lifestyle can also participate. Various workshops offered by doctors, nurses and nutritionists, learn to improve their health habits, food, hygiene and prevent other diseases in addition to diabetes.
