The mayor of Aguilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, met yesterday with the manager of the Murciano Health Service, Asensio López, in order to transfer the deficiencies that the health area presents the locality.
Moreno, who recalled that in matters of health is the Autonomous Community that has the powers, referred to the "situation of abandonment that aquiline citizens feel in health" and has ensured that "from our position as a Government Team, We will not stop claiming improvements that we believe justified, especially if we consider that our reference hospital is thirty kilometers with the damage that that means for all citizens of Eagles.
The aquiline mayor has transferred to the manager of the SMS the need to give a solution to the health problems that Aguilas presents that, far from improving, has worsened in recent years losing many of the services that were previously provided.
In this sense Moreno has referred to the collapse that the emergency services have in Aguilas, as well as the need for a reinforcement of nursing on weekends and holidays.
Another problem addressed was that of the Primary Care Emergency Service (SUAP), which in Aguilas with only two physicians, which is - added Moreno - that when one of them should attend home emergency only one in the Center of health.
The need to expand the medical specialties that pass consultation in Águilas;
The poor condition of the Águilas Sur Health Center, with saturated spaces and lack of waiting rooms in consultations such as pediatrics;
As well as the need to expand the staff of Águilas Norte with one more faculty have been other defendants transferred by the mayor.
Finally, another important issue of this meeting has been the interest that Moreno has shown to execute the budget line of 500,000 euros enabled in the regional budget for the preparation of the study of a High Resolution Hospital Center in Águilas.
