The children who, since July 1, have benefited from the Family Respite Program, launched by the Council of Social Services of the City Council of Águilas, received last Monday, from the hands of the mayor, Mari Carmen Moreno, a diploma for his Participation in the course of an end-of-course party that has taken place in the Urci Occupational Center.
The children, all disabled, have enjoyed throughout the month a Summer School adapted to their needs in which, among other things, they have been able to acquire the benefits that leisure reports, such as emotional well-being, Interpersonal relationships and social inclusion;
While their families have found a respite to be able to reconcile work and family life in this month in which the centers of origin of these children close their doors for vacations.
During the event, Josefa López, president of the Urci Occupational Center, said that "one of the most positive aspects of this program is that older children who have benefited from it will soon be users of the Occupational Center and this activity Has allowed to know the facilities and familiarize themselves with them, something that, no doubt, will serve to facilitate their subsequent adaptation.
