The documentary 'Seda and esparto in the Region of Murcia', produced by the Integra Foundation, an agency under the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, will be projected today and tomorrow in Águilas in the free activity 'A heritage of cinema'.
This initiative, which runs the regional beaches this summer, consists of a traveling tent that houses games with virtual reality glasses on the region's heritage and a cinema area where documentaries on regional heritage will be uninterrupted.
The documentary 'Seda and esparto' is a fictional documentary series that consists of six chapters that allow to know the history and the highlights of these two traditional activities of the Region of Murcia.
It will be screened in two passes, at 9:00 p.m. and at 11:00 p.m., as part of the activities scheduled for the II National Encounter on the culture of esparto, which is celebrated these days in the locality.
In addition to this feature film, other short films on the posidonia, the railway system, the tower houses of the Region, the defensive naval system of the Austrias and the Monastery of Santa Ana will also be screened in the summer cinema area.
The initiative is completed with a tent, more than 24 square meters, which has a virtual reality area in which visitors will have two game options, 'The Mystery of Ricote Encomienda', which through tests of To know the architecture of the building of the Encomienda and its function as headquarters of the Order of Santiago, since its construction in the fifteenth century;
And 'The old cathedral of Cartagena', which opens this year and shows what this emblematic building was like before it was destroyed in the Civil War.
These activities are aimed at the whole family and will be held from 20:00 to 24:00 hours on the Paseo de la Constitución.
'A film heritage' will be moved on 10 and 11 August to Isla Plana (Cartagena), having spent during July and August in San Pedro del Pinatar, Puerto de Mazarrón, San Javier, Mar de Cristal (Cartagena) and Los Alcázares.
The objective of this activity, financed with Feder funds, is to make known the cultural and natural heritage of the Region of Murcia, disseminate the regional heritage on the Internet using digital techniques and offer an attractive and free activity during the summer period.
All the documentaries shown in this initiative, as well as others produced by the Integra Foundation for a total of 40 hours, are available on the Internet on the youtube channel 'Un patrimonio de cine'.
