303 interventions by the Medical Team and the Basic Life Support Unit once Phase II of the Beach Coverage Plan (COPLA) of the Aguilas City Council has been completed.
Under the agreement between the City Council and the Local Red Cross Assembly in the city, the aquiline and visitors have had an Advanced Vital Support unit in a Quick Intervention Vehicle that has allowed to minimize response times and offer assistance of quality.
This team has been operational every weekend in July and August in addition to local and community festivities, such as last July 9, Region Day, or the Virgin of August.
The urgencies and emergencies assisted have been derived by the Community Emergency Coordination Center, or requested by the Rescatadores themselves on the beaches through the Spanish Red Cross Team Leaders in Eagles.
By units, the Medical Team has intervened in 112 emergencies while the Basic Life Support Unit with its staff of Emergency Health Technicians has carried out 191 attendances simultaneously giving coverage to about 80 cultural and sports preventives included in the Festivities Summer Games and Summer Sports Games, a task for which about 80 volunteers of the organization were involved, without which help would have been impossible to offer efficient health coverage, given the high number of aquiline and visitors who have gathered around these activities.
Parallel to the development of the Copla Plan, the Local Assembly has also continued its support to associations such as Alzheimer Eagles and Afemac, Relatives of People with Mental Illness, transferring their users to the Workshop on Psychostimulation, beach or any initiative demanded by the directives of these groups as well as Complementary Assistance at Home or the distribution of food to families at risk, combining this way the emergency and emergency care with the different Social Programs of CRE in the city .
