The students of the Mediterranean school have finally acceded to the educational center after a vote held this morning at the doors of the aquiline school to decide if the children started the school year or if, on the contrary, they did not attend classes as a protest for deficiencies which presents the school.
Regarding this matter, the mayor of Aguilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, the director of the center, Antonio Licerán, and the president of the AMPA, José Manuel Rodríguez, held last Tuesday a meeting with the Minister of Education, Adela Martínez Cachá, to order to request an emergency action in this school.
After that meeting, valued very positive by all the attendees, the commitment of the counselor was obtained so that the technicians visited the center;
fact that took place yesterday.
What the parents, teachers and City Council now demand is that the result of this report, scheduled for next week, "comes accompanied by a schedule of actions that ensure that this problem is going to be solved and that everything is not in words as it comes happening in the last ten years, "have assured from the AMPA.
As for the actions to be developed, the Association of Mothers and Parents of Pupils has announced fifteen minute breaks in the downtown courtyard from today until the visit of the Minister of Education scheduled for next week.
