Yesterday, the last work to fine-tune the second inclusive park installed in Águilas was completed, with the aim, said the mayor of the area, Isabel Fernández, "to achieve inclusion and eliminate the barriers that prevent children from enjoying their childhood in equality of terms".
This recreation area, located in the Paseo de las Acacias, aims to favor the real integration, for that reason these parks are inclusive;
that is to say, in the same park will integrate regular games with others accessible for children with some disability so that they too can enjoy the park with the rest of children.
For Fernández, "the adaptation of the parks was a commitment and something that I have been working on since I arrived at the Government Team. At the moment this action has been carried out in two parks but we will continue working to be able to extend it to many more ".
The Inclusive Parks project is part of the Plan for Improvement and Recovery of Public Spaces.
