The aquiline Javier Hernández Espinosa has been one of the invited painters to participate in the exhibition The Heartbeat of America, organized to mark the 25th anniversary of the Casa de América.
A sample that has sought to have new artists show their vision of the evolution of the last 25 years of Latin America and in which the aquiline is being one of the great protagonists.
Hernández exposes, until next November 4, a large mural, 10.25 x 3.25 meters, under the title Macondo in which García Márquez's work serves as inspiration for the colorful universe of the aquiline painter.
The artist makes a tour of the novels of the Colombian writer from his first book La hojarasca (1955) to Memoria de mis tristeas tristes (2004), having as central axis Cien años de soledad (1967).
Through symbolic figures, Espinosa does a great visual work with strident and flashy colors.
The lights and leftovers are marked by the cold and warm contrasts of the colors.
He works with chaos, with grotesque figures and reception of forms.
