Last 24th of October AFEMAC Mental Health put the end to the acts celebrated throughout the month on the occasion of the World Mental Health Day, with the representation of the work "We all have, we all act: integrating people with problems of mental health ", an initiative of the theater company" La Rueda ", whose line of action stands out from conventional theater and creates, instead, a" social theater ", that is, a way of doing interpretation to socialize, that aims to raise awareness among the attending public and that it becomes a protagonist of the representation.
The event took place in the House of Culture "Francisco Rabal" of our town, and was attended by more than 200 people, some of whom had to participate as "actors" to help in the resolution of three conflicts related to mental health in the family, work and social relations.
The representation was favorably received by the attending public, who was participatory and collaborative at all times, opening interesting discussions about the difficulties faced by people suffering from a mental health problem and their families.
We must not forget that AFEMAC has fought for the work to be present in Águilas, something that is particularly important given that there are only five cities in Spain where the representation will take place (San Sebastián, Ceuta, Talavera de Reina, León, Segovia and Logroño).
From AFEMAC Mental Health we sincerely thank the Mental Health Federation of Spain, the Murcia Mental Health Federation, the Janssen laboratories and the theater company "La Rueda", the effort made and the commitment to the normalization and destigmatization of people with problems of mental health.
