The mayor of the Treasury of the City of Águilas, Tomás Consentino, has announced the extension of the period of voluntary payment of the Property Tax (IBI) until December 20.
"In this way," said the mayor, "greater facilities will be provided to the residents of the town to pay the IBI, since they have one more month to pay this tax."
Consentino has ensured that "this is one more advantage of the agreement that this Government Team signed with the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration under which delegates to the Tax Agency of the Region of Murcia (ATRM) management, liquidation, inspection and collection of certain taxes, including the IBI.As we said at the time of signing -continued saying- the agreement has contributed, on the one hand to optimize the management, and, on the other, to offer better services to citizens as This is the case of the extension of the payment period and the possibility of dividing the same up to twelve months without a surcharge or interest ".
Finally, in terms of tax improvements for the taxpayer, the mayor of the Treasury also recalled that for two years the local council offers bonuses of between 40 and 90% of the tax to more than 600 large families living in Aguilas.
