Last Friday, November 24, users of AFEMAC Mental Health participated with another 200 people in an event organized by the Department of Equality of the City of Águilas to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
On this occasion the participants gathered at the auditorium "Infanta Elena", forming a big heart, which beat to the rhythm of a well-known song of the mythical group "Queen", and which symbolized the union of all in front of any act of violence against women.
After the choreography, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the victims of sexist violence and the manifesto was read, stressing the importance of the involvement of society as a whole in condemning and rejecting this form of terrorism.
From AFEMAC Mental Health we appreciate the invitation from the Department of Equality and the Municipal Center for Women in our town and we hope to continue collaborating in future events.
