The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of Sports, Cristóbal Casado, received yesterday in the City Hall the three aquilines that last week played the 2017 Spanish Powerlifting and Banking Press Championship, two of the three athletes, to take the podium in the sports event held in Talavera de la Reina.

Marta Lopez achieved a well-deserved second place in Powerlifting in addition to the Record of Spain in Peso Muerto (130 kilos);

Gema Valera became the second in its category (less than 57 kilos) and third in the absolute;

and Antonio Jiménez took fourth place in the Banking Press.
